General Information about SAS 9.4 Hot Fixes

  • After downloading a hot fix, do not extract the contents unless instructed to in the Installation Documentation.
Almost ALL hot fixes are installed using the SAS Deployment Manager, which will extract the contents as needed. More information is available in the SAS Deployment Wizard and SAS Deployment Manager 9.4: User's Guide
  • Hot fixes can be identified by their unique number. Using hot fix "H14005wn" as an example:
H14005wn = a unique code that identifies the SAS product and version to receive the hot fix.
H14005wn = an incremental value for each hot fix that applies to the above code.
H14005wn = the operating system for the hot fix (in this example, Windows).

See SAS 9.4 Hot Fix Codes for the list of all codes currently in use.
  • More information about SAS hot fixes is available in the Hot Fix FAQ.
