Important Changes to Hot Fixes
The changes described below are applicable to Hot Fixes for SAS 9.3.
|
The organization of the SAS 9.3 hot fix download site is based on Product-Specific Release Numbers.
Links to Hot fix pages for all products and releases in the SAS 9.3 family are accessible from
one location, including links to pages for Foundation SAS, middle-tier and client products and Solutions.
You still have access to hot fixes organized by operating system and by hot fix release date.
|
All hot fixes are installed using the SAS Deployment Manager. More information is available in the
SAS Deployment Wizard and SAS Deployment Manager 9.3: User's Guide.
|
Separate hot fix downloads are not required for Asian Language Support (DBCS) or National Language Support (NLS).
The SAS Deployment Manager identifies the languages installed with SAS and applies the relevant hot fix components.
|
Hot Fix download naming convention:
For example, examining Hot Fix "H14005wn":
H14005wn = a unique code that identifies the SAS product and version to receive the hot fix.
H14005wn = an incremental value for each hot fix that applies to the above code.
H14005wn = the operating system for the hot fix (in this example, Windows).
Please review SAS 9.3 Hot Fix Codes for information on the codes that are currently in use.
