7.0 Platform Process Manager Patch 70ppm03 for AIX



Before Downloading:
This document contains the information needed to install the Platform Process 
Manager Patch that addresses the issue documented in SAS sasnote 37502
(http://support.sas.com/kb/37/502.html).  


Important note:
You must be logged in as lsfadmin to install this patch successfully.


Installation details:

1. Go to http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/platformpatch.html and 
download 70ppm03r6.tar.Z.  If the UNIX machine does not have Internet access, 
download the file to a machine that does have access, and copy it to your 
UNIX server. 

2. Extract the contents of the downloaded file:
uncompress -c 70ppm03r6.tar  |  tar -xf -

The contents of the tar file, lsflib.sh will be placed in the 70ppm03 subdirectory.  

3. Add “sh –x” when running the hostsetup script to determine the value of the
variable INSTLIB. For example: sh –x ./hostsetup

4. Create a backup version of your existing lsflib.sh.  The path is shown in Step 3.

5. Replace the existing lsflib.sh with the new patch.  The path is shown in Step 3.

6. Run hostsetup again.



This completes the installation of the platform patch 70ppm03 on AIX.
