7.0 Platform Grid Management Service Patch 70pgms01 for Linux Before Downloading: This document contains the information needed to install the Platform Process Manager Patch that addresses the issue documented in SAS sasnote 36782 (http://support.sas.com/kb/36/782.html). Important note: You must be logged in as lsfadmin to install this patch successfully. Installation details: 1. Go to http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/platformpatch.html and download 70pgms01lx.tar.Z. If the UNIX machine does not have Internet access, download the file to a machine that does have access, and copy it to your UNIX server. 2. Extract the contents of the downloaded file: uncompress -c 70pgms01lx.tar | tar -xf - The contents of the tar file, gabd will be placed in the 70pgms01 subdirectory. 3. Stop the current gabd (gaadmin stop) in /gms/etc. 4. Create a backup version of /gms/etc/gabd 5. Copy ~/70pgms01/gabd to /gms/etc 6. Enable the parameter GA_PAM_ENABLE=Y in ga.conf file 7. Restart the gabd (gaadmin start). If this doesn't work, stop the gabd again (gaadmin stop), enable the parameter GA_PAM_SERVICE=eauth_userpass in ga.conf, and restart the gabd (gaadmin start).
