3.0 Platform Process Manager Patch 30ppm01 for AIX



Before Downloading:
This document contains the information needed to install the Platform Process 
Manager Patch that addresses the issue documented in SAS sasnote 36295 
(http://support.sas.com/kb/36/295.html).  


Important note:
You must be logged in as root to install this patch successfully.


Installation details:

1. Go to http://ftp.sas.com/techsup/download/hotfix/platformpatch.html and 
download 30ppm01r6.tar.Z.  If the UNIX machine does not have Internet access, 
download the file to a machine that does have access, and copy it to your 
UNIX server. 

2. Extract the contents of the downloaded file:
uncompress -c 30ppm01r6.tar  |  tar -xf -

The contents of the tar file, eauth_userpass will be placed in the 
30ppm01 subdirectory.   

3. Shutdown your jfd services (jadmin stop) 

4. Create a backup version of JS_TOP/3.0/aix5/etc/eauth_userpass

5. Copy ~/30ppm01/eauth_userpass to JS_TOP/3.0/aix5/etc 

6. Check the md5 checksum after you download the file

	[sas@sas~]$ mdsum eauth.userpass6.2_aix5-64

	a1473198b4e6c48fbb70aaa8d3b66c71  eauth.userpass6.2_aix5-64

6. Restart your jfd services (jadmin start)


This completes the installation of the platform patch 30ppm01 on AIX.
