INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SAS 9.4 SASTKTS DBRM DOWNLOAD ON z/OS SAS 9.4 SASTKTS DBRM member for SAS/ACCESS Interface to DB2 BEFORE DOWNLOADING: This download addresses the fact that the Database Request Modules (DBRMs) members that are needed for the DB2 bind are not included as part of the SAS Depot and must be downloaded separately. The following file will be installed: * DBRM94_SASTKTS_V10.xmit Partitioned data set (PDS) in XMIT format. This file contains the DBRM member (SASTKTS) needed for the bind if you are accessing DB2 V10 New Function Mode (NFM) and running SAS 9.4. * DBRM94_SASTKTS_V11.xmit Partitioned data set (PDS) in XMIT format. This file contains the DBRM member (SASTKTS) needed for the bind if you are accessing DB2 V11 New Function Mode (NFM) and running SAS 9.4. * DBRM94_SASTKTS_V12.xmit Partitioned data set (PDS) in XMIT format. This file contains the DBRM member (SASTKTS) needed for the bind if you are accessing DB2 V12 New Function Mode (NFM) and running SAS 9.4. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: The following instructions describe the steps for extracting the contents of the downloaded files, moving the file(s) to your z/OS system and installing the DBRM member. STEP 1: PRE-ALLOCATE AN XMIT FILE UNDER z/OS (required) Pre-allocate file under z/OS (for example, 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v10.xmit', 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v11.xmit' or 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v12.xmit') with the following data control blocks (DCBs). Organization : PS Record format : FB Record length : 80 Block size : 3120 STEP 2: USE FTP TO TRANSFER THE XMIT FILE TO z/OS (required) Use File Transfer Protocol (FTP) to transfer the appropriate XMIT file into the newly created file. For example, DBRM94_SASTKTS_V10.xmit would be stored in 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v10.xmit' DBRM94_SASTKTS_V11.xmit would be stored in 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v11.xmit' and DBRM94_SASTKTS_V12.xmit would be stored in 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.v12.xmit'. - Download the packaged hot fix to your computer. The packaged hot fix is a self extracting executable. Launching the executable will extract the z/OS file to a default location example: C:\Documents and Settings\userid\Local Settings\Temp You are prompted during the extraction process to accept or overwrite the default unzip location. The remaining steps in these installation instructions assume that you have unzipped the files to the default location. After extracting the files, use FTP to transfer the DBRM94_SASTKTS_V10.xmit, DBRM94_SASTKTS_V11.xmit, or the the DBRM94_SASTKTS_V12.xmit file to your z/OS system by doing a BINARY upload into the pre-allocated file created in step 1. STEP 3: RECEIVE THE XMIT FILE TO CREATE THE DBRMLIB PDS (required) Under z/OS, issue a RECEIVE command against the uploaded XMIT file as follows where 'sas.dbrm94.sastkts.vxx.xmit' was the preallocated file in step 1. receive indataset('sas.dbrm94.sastkts.vxx.xmit') After doing this step, you see a prompt to the following: INMR901I Dataset DATA.SET.NAME from USERID on ???????? INMR906A Enter restore parameters or 'DELETE' or 'END' + At this prompt, you should enter something similar to the following in which sas.dbrm94.sastkts.dbrmlib will the name of your newly created PDS containing the SASTKTS DBRM member: DA('sas.dbrm94.sastkts.vxx.dbrmlib') This completes the download of the SAS 9.4 SASTKTS DBRM members under z/OS. NOTE: The following information should be given to the appropriate person responsible for doing the SASTKTS DB2 bind: * The name of the DBRMLIB data set containing the SASTKTS member that was created in step 3 above. * When performing the SASTKTS DB2 bind, point to that DBRMLIB data set. * The same bind options specified for the DB2 bind that was done to create the SAS94 package and SAS94 plan can be used for creating the SASTKTS plan. * The bind will required that you create a package first by doing a BIND PACKAGE followed by a BIND PLAN. Doing a BIND PLAN with a MEMBER option will result in an error similiar to the following: IKJ56641I SYSTEM ABEND CODE 04E REASON CODE 00E30065 PSW 077C0001A4442954,ASIDS: HOME = 027C PRIMARY = 006B SECONDARY = 027C
