Installation Instructions for Hot Fix J7N001
Linux for x64
Hot fix J7N001 addresses the issue(s) in SAS Studio 3.8.1 as documented
in the Issue(s) Addressed section of the hot fix download page:
J7N001 contains GIT libraries that are appropriate for any SAS install on SLES for SAS 9.4M7.
It is good general practice to back up your system before applying updates to software.
You must have Administrator Privileges on your CLIENT or SERVER machine.
All currently active SAS sessions, daemons, spawners and servers must be terminated
before applying this hot fix.
This hot fix should be installed using the same userid who performed the initial
Download the J7N001la.tar package
Un-tar the package. This will create a directory called J7N001 with six lib* files inside
tar -xvf J7N001la.tar
Go to the sasexe directory of your install location, e.g.
Make a backup copy of these six files:
libgit2.so, perhaps calling it libgit2.so.orig
libgit2.so.0.27.2, perhaps calling it libgit2.so.0.27.2.orig
libgit2.so.27, perhaps calling it libgit2.so.27.orig
libssh2.so, perhaps calling it libssh2.so.orig
libssh2.so.1, perhaps calling it libssh2.so.1.orig
libssh2.so.1.0.1, perhaps calling it libssh2.so.1.0.1.orig
Copy the six files from the J7N001 directory into the sasexe directory.
This completes the installation of hot fix J7N001 on Linux for x64.
