4. Installation and Configuration

4.1 Before installation

1) Download 4 files. Check egosc, egosh, sec_ego_default.so with checksum.md5 if needed.

2) Stop all LSF daemons on LSF primary host (sn25990) with commands:

"badmin hshutdow" "lsadmin resshutdown" "lsadmin limshutdown". Or any commands the client would like to use to stop all LSF daemons.

4.2 Installation steps

1) Backup egosc in $EGO_SERVERDIR directory (etc) and copy new egosc to replace old one. Keep ownership and permission same as the old one exactly.

2) Backup egosh in $EGO_BINDIR directory (bin) and copy new egosh to replace old one. Keep ownership and permission same as the old one exactly.

Please be noted, the owner of egosh is root account. And permission is "-rwsr-xr-x". Please use "chmod 4755 egosh" command as a reference to change its permission.

3) Backup sec_ego_default.so in $EGO_LIBDIR directory (lib) and copy new one to replace old one. Keep ownership and permission same as the old one exactly.

4.3 After installation

1) Start LSF as usual.

2) Run "ps -ef | grep egosc" to see if egosc is started.

3) If <2> see egosc, do other eogsh commands, like "egosh user logon -u Admin -x Admin".

4) If <2> can not see egosc, please share /tmp/core and other error message with SAS Technical Support.

4.4 Uninstallation

1) Stop all LSF daemons.

2) Restore backed up files.

3) Start LSF as usual.
