POST-INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Property file updates for SASServer Instances

To surface changes delivered in this hotfix for SN-59078 , you must Update the catalina.properties file.

You can find the catalina.properties file under the conf folder, inside each instance of SASServer* web application server.

NOTE: Server instance folder names follow SASServerx_n syntax ,where x is the server's id and n is its multiplier (when clustered). The example below assumes x=1,n=1.

Probable file locations

For WINDOWS:

C:\SAS\Config\Lev1\Web\WebAppServer\SASServer1_1\conf\catalina.properties

For UNIX:

install/SAS/Config/Lev1/Web/WebAppServer/SASServer1_1/conf/catalina.properties

Once the catalina.properties file is located, use an editor of your choice to make changes as follows:

  1. search for the string: org.apache.catalina.startup.ContextConfig.jarsToSkip

  2. remove the following string from the property: sas.commons.flex.midtier.jar

Be careful to remove the comma after the jar file so there will be only one comma between any two jar file names.
  3. Save the updated catalina.properties file

  4. Restart the servers.

Repeat the above process for all instances of the SASServer* web application servers.

This completes the installation of hot fix A2L005 on Linux for x64.
